On December 18th, Hohai University held the graduation ceremony of the training course for owners of the Sue A Petey Water Control Project in Guinea. Kabbah Ipaima Soli, Economic Counselor of the Embassy of Guinea in China, Dingming Zhang, Deputy General Manager of China Three Gorges Corporation, Li Li, Executive Director and Party Secretary of China International Water and Electric Power Co., Ltd. (CWE), Dezhi Zhang, General Manager of Sichuan Baozhusi Hydropower Plant of China Huadian Corporation, Chengjun Le, general manager of Sichuan Minyuan Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering Design Co., Ltd., Hui Xu, president of Hohai University, Weiya Xu, vice president, and Guo Jichao, deputy secretary of the school party committee, attended the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was presided over by Vice President Weiya Xu.
President Hui Xu expressed sincere congratulations to all the participants who successfully completed the training task, and extended sincere gratitude to the cooperation units and individuals who worked hard for the training course. He pointed out that in recent years, Hohai University has fully utilized its water conservancy features and disciplinary advantages, and has built a cooperation platform for government, industry, and research cooperation with industry and enterprises around the national “the Belt and Road” initiative and “going out” development strategy, and actively contributed to the strength of Hohai University. The Sue A Petey Water Control Project is known as the “Three Gorges Project” in Guinea. The training project for the owners of the Sue A Petey Water Control Project in Guinea was commissioned by the Three Gorges Group Hydropower Company for a year and a half. The Guinean government attaches great importance to this training program. After the end of this year's China-Africa Cooperation Forum Beijing Summit, President Alpha Conté made a special trip to the Three Gorges Dam area to visit the students.
