On November 19th, a delegation led by Ethiopia Vice Minister of Urban Construction,Hailemeskel Tefera, paid a visit to Hohai University. President Hui Xu and Vice President Hongwu Tang met with the guests.
President Xu gave a welcome address and introduced the feature and development of the University, and expressed the wishes to strengthen the cooperation with Ethiopia and other African countries in the fields of water conservancy project and scientific research. Vice minister Hailemeskel outlined the latest achievement of economic and social development at Ethiopia as well as the profile and challenge of the hydropower station construction in Ethiopia.
The delegates included Department Chief of Energy, Minister of Water Conservancy, Gosaye Megost, manager of Water Works Design and Supervision Enterprise(WWDSE),Mebrate Taffes and director of Enterprise Development Department, WWDSE, Shimeles Mulugeta. The visit was organized by WWDSE and HydroChina Huadong Engineering Corporation. Staff from HydoChina, International Office and International Education College of Hohai attended the meeting.
