University of  Waterloo Visited Hohai University

The delegation from University of Waterloo, headed by Vice President Ian Rowlands and Director of International Program Suping Zhao, visited Hohai University on March 31st. President Hui Xu and Vice President Weiya Xu met with the delegation.

Vice President Weiya Xu introduced Hohai University’s basic information and summarized the existing cooperation between Hohai University and University of Waterloo. He proposed a deeper cooperation between the two sides in such aspects as exchanges of students and scholars, excellent project, joint doctoral training, collaborative research, administrators’ training in University of Waterloo and so on. Vice President Ian Rowlands introduced the basic information of University of Waterloo. He fully affirmed the current cooperation between the two sides, and agreed on the proposal. 

Relevant personnel from Department of Educational Administration, Department of Human Resource, Department of Student, International Offices, International School and State Key Laboratory attended the meeting. The delegation visited State Key Laboratory and Sediment Laboratory.

University of Waterloo is a top three public research university in Canada and ranked 152nd in the 2018 QS World University Rankings. It is most famous for its cooperative education (co-op) programs, which allow the students to integrate their education with applicable work experiences. Mathematics and Computer Science of University of Waterloo is especially outstanding.
