On May 4th, Hohai University held the opening ceremony of the 30th Campus Culture and Art Festival, and organized the 2018 Refined and Classic Art into Campus Activity of Jiangsu province—Chinese folk dance drama Solar Terms in Jiangnan. Solar Terms in Jiangnan is created by Nanjing Literature and Arts Federation, Jiangsu Performing Arts and Culture Communication Ltd., and School of Dances at Nanjing University of the Arts. With the background of twenty-four solar terms, Solar Terms in Jiangnan described the south of the Yangtze River. Using a lot of intangible cultural heritage elements, it drew pictures of the sundial, the rain, the wind, the moon and the snow and reveals Chinese philosophy of the seasons reincarnation, the return of life and the unity of heaven and man. The performing provides Hohai University’s students and teachers with a great insight to the excellent traditional Chinese culture, the national spirit and the patriotism.
