The University of Alabama Visited Hohai University

The delegation from The University of Alabama headed by Associate Provost Dr. Teresa Wise visited Hohai University on June 14th. Vice President  Weiya Xu met with the delegation.

During the discussion, Vice President Weiya Xu introduced Hohai University’s basic information, development ideas and recent focus. He hoped that the two sides would expand the cooperation area based on the existing cooperation. Associate Provost Dr. Teresa Wise introduced the general condition and preponderant disciplines of The University of Alabama, and stated that the two sides can conduct cooperation in various fields. The two sides will sign MoU in the near future, and further expand cooperation in areas such as cooperative scientific research, “3+2” joint cultivation of undergraduates and postgraduates, and short-term students exchanges.  

Relevant officials from International Office, College of Harbor, Costal and Offshore Engineering, College of Mechanics and Materials and College of Foreign Languages and Cultures held discussions with the delegation. Teachers from College of Environment also conducted academic exchanges with the delegation. 

Founded in 1831, The University of Alabama is the oldest and largest of the public universities in Alabama, the United States. It consists of 12 colleges and schools, and offers programs of study in 13 academic divisions leading to bachelor's, master's, Education Specialist, and doctoral degrees.
