On October 30th, Mohan Krishnamoorthy, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Queensland, Australia, KW Michael Siu, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Windsor, and Pro-Chacellor President Diana Kao visited our school. President Hui Xu met with guests. Vice President Weiya Xu held a discussion with the delegations of the two universities.
Vice President Weiya Xu extended warm welcome to the delegation of the University of Queensland and the University of Windsor, and introduced the basic situation of Hohai University in terms of personnel training, disciplines-construction and international cooperation. He also hoped that Hohai university will strengthen cooperation with the University of Queensland and the University of Windsor, in joint cultivation, scientific research, practice training of management personnel and short-term exchange programs for students.
Professor Mohan Krishnamoorthy, Vice Chancellor of the University of Queensland, agreed that the two universities will cooperate in short-term exchanges and 3+2 joint programme. At the meeting, our university signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Queensland. Professor Michael Siu and Professor Diana Kao, two Vice-Chancellors of the University of Windsor, expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation with Hohai University.
Professor Simon Washington, Dean of the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Queensland, and Professor Christopher Houser, Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Windsor, as well as relevant persons in charge of the International Office, the International School, College of College of Hydrology and Water Resources, College of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering, College of Environment, College of Civil Engineering, and the Student Office, the managers who planned to go to the University of Windsor to participate in the training program, took part in the discussion.
