Hohai University team achieved outstanding results in the 10th Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students

From March 29 to 31, the final of the 10th Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students was held at Harbin University of Science and Technology. The Hohai University team comprised students from the Ports, Coast and Offshore Engineering College, the Energy and Electrical College, and Dayu College, and was accompanied by teachers Zheng Sujuan, Yang Yongfu, Zhu Yongzhong, Sun Guanghong, Zhou Zhongguo et al.. Two students won the  first prize, one  received the second prize and one received the third prize. The number of winners was the highest in Jiangsu province. This result fully reflects the excellent teaching quality of mathematics at undergraduate level, and fully supports our status as a double-first-class construction of the universityl.

The Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students (CMC) started in 2009. Sponsored by the Chinese Mathematics Association, it is a national high-level subject competition for undergraduate students. Now it has become the most influential and most popular subject competition in China. It is divided into mathematics specialty and non-mathematics specialty  according to the specialty. The 10th CMC had 31 competition areas. There were 138,832 participants in the competition, from the Peking University, Tsinghua University, and many others., and the students participating are in their second and higher grades. A total of 63 people from across the country won a first prize in the final, while 7 in Jiangsu Province won the first prize.
