Recently, Alumni Association of Australia and Alumni Association of New Zealand were established.At the same time, Alumni chapters were also established in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane of Australia. Guo Jichao, Deputy Secretary of Hohai University CPC Committee attended the inauguration ceremony.
Deputy Secretary Guo Jichao congratulated the establishment of Australian Alumni Association, Alumni chapters and New Zealand Alumni Association. He acknowledged alumni for the great support and careful preparations. Deputy Secretary Guo Jichao also introduced the development and achievements of Hohai University in recent years. He pointed out that Hohai weathered through the past 100 years and sees the great spirits passed onto future generations. The overseas alumni have been closely following up and supporting the construction and advancement of Hohai University. Their outstanding attainment and remarkable ethos uplifted Hohai’s reputation and make the Hohai widely acclaimed. Alumni Association of Australia and Alumni Association of New Zealand are expected to reach out to, and support more alumni, pool their wisdom and strength, and serve as the ambassador for Sino-Australian and Sino-New Zealand friendship, the bond for cooperation, and the bridge for communication. The alumni associations will keep contributing to the construction of the alma mater and the local social and economic development.
Zhou Lin was elected the President while Zhang Ting was elected the Director General of the Australian Alumni Association. Zhang Zhengqiang and Yao Weidong were elected Secretary General of the Australian Alumni Association, Tao Hui was elected the President of Sydney Alumni Chapter while Mo Baocheng was elected President of Brisbane Alumni Chapter respectively. Zhou Lin also served as the President of Melbourne Alumni Chapter. And Zhang Ting served concurrently as the President of Perth Alumni Chapter. Yang Yifan was elected as the President of the New Zealand Alumni Association of Hohai University while Xu Zhonghou was elected the Secretary General of the New Zealand Alumni Association of Hohai University. Grateful for the cultivation of the alma mater, alumni vows to support the construction and advancement of the alma mater via networking, bonding and serving alumni.
