On June 19, Hohai University held the 2020 Commencement & Degree Ceremony. Deng Dongsheng, a distinguished alumnus of Hohai University and chairman of Jiangsu Coast Development Group Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony as a special guest. At the commencement, President Xu Hui delivered a speech entitled Take Root in Patriotism and Burden Important Tasks of the Times. He pointed out that the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has caused a grave crisis to the whole world and severely challenged our work, study and life. The role of a major country is fully demonstrated in the critical moment. Under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, China has united as one to fight the disease, with significant strategic results in epidemic prevention and control. On the eve of graduation, our students took concrete actions against the epidemic such as staying at home, seeking self-improvement, assuming due responsibilities and keeping healthy.
