Recently, Professor Karin Bryan, Dean of Graduate Research, and Professor Conrad Pilditch, Academic Team Co-Leader of Marine Science and Aquaculture, who are from University of Waikato in New Zealand, visited our university. Vice President Zheng Jinhai met with the guests.
Afterward, the delegation held a symposium with the heads of the International Office and teacher representatives of some colleges of our university. Professor Karin said that Hohai University is an important partner of Waikato University in China with strong scientific research strength, outstanding academic ability and close exchanges between teachers. After reviewing the history of cooperation, both sides expressed their hope to give full play to their respective advantages, enrich cooperation forms in high-level talent training, student exchanges, scientific research and other aspects and broaden the fields of cooperation, in order to achieve mutually beneficial development and bring the cooperation between the two universities into a new stage.
During the symposium, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on key issues such as international cooperative training programs for innovative talents and joint program of double master degree, reaching a consensus.
