Days ago, Hohai University and the University of Auckland in New Zealand jointly signed the Cooperation Agreement on Innovative Talent Training, the Framework Agreement on Dual PhD Program, and the Agreement on Joint Master's Program.
The Cooperation Agreement on Innovative Talent Training stipulates that the two sides will select a certain number of doctoral students and teaching and research personnel for cooperative training and mutual visits every year with the support of the China Scholarship Council. The Framework Agreement on Dual PhD Program and the Agreement on Joint Master's Program stipulate that the two sides will jointly offer higher degree programs. Students participating in these programs will study at the two universities, and receive a doctoral or master's degree from both universities upon meeting their graduation requirements respectively.
Founded in 1883, the University of Auckland is ranked 68th in QS World University Rankings 2024. The two universities began their cooperation in 1985. Over the past 40 years, we have jointly trained 22 master's and doctoral graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and young faculty members, carried out 8 projects such as the Key International Cooperation Fund Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Key Foreign Experts Project, and jointly held 11 international conferences.
