Recently, Meng Xin, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Hohai University, led a delegation to Germany and Denmark to strengthen cooperation with European universities and research institutions and foster international collaboration in talent development and scientific innovation.
During their stay in Germany, the delegation visited Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and held discussions with its President Nils Stieglitz. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on joint talent cultivation, faculty exchanges, and research collaboration, and reached a consensus on future cooperation plans. Additionally, the delegation attended the AMBA & BGA Annual Conference 2025. As a university representative, they introduced the institution's overall profile and the development of its business administration disciplines. The delegation also engaged in discussions on integrating business education with emerging technologies and received the AMBA & BGA gold accreditation certificate. These further enhanced the international reputation of Hohai University's business programs.
During their stay in Denmark, the delegation visited the Technical University of Denmark. During discussions with Professor David Fuhrman, Editor-in-Chief of “Applied Ocean Research”, and his team, Meng Xin noted the long-standing collaboration between both parties in coastal marine and electrical engineering fields, expressing hopes to further broaden cooperation areas and facilitate more substantive project implementations. Subsequently, the delegation toured the Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory at the Technical University of Denmark, gaining insights into its advanced methodologies and invaluable expertise in hydraulic engineering research. Concurrently, an overseas talent recruitment seminar was organized, drawing participation from over 40 distinguished young scholars across six institutions, including the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen, and Aalborg University, serving as a bridge for Hohai University to attract global talents.
The delegation also engaged with alumni in Germany and Denmark during the visit, and organized a ceremonial flag relay to commemorate Hohai University's 110th anniversary.
Heads of relevant departments and colleges/schools accompanied the delegation on the visit.
