HHU Students Win Eighth Place in the Cheerleading Pom Doubles Final at the World Games 2025

At the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, Lin Yihang, an undergraduate enrolled in 2023 and majoring in Sports Training from the Department of Physical Education, and his teammate Ma Kewei, a 2022 graduate majoring in Human Resources from the Business School, finished eighth in the Cheerleading Pom Doubles Final.



Previously, Lin Yihang and Ma Kewei advanced to the final thanks to their superb skills and seamless cooperation. Under the guidance of Coach Li Pengyue, they demonstrated an outstanding competitive state and remarkable teamwork throughout the competition. Their precise coordination and rhythmic mastery wove together a harmonious symphony of strength and skills. Excelling in synchronization, execution, and rhythm control, they showcased the youthful spirit of Hohai University (HHU) on the world stage.



The World Games, organized by the International World Games Association, represents the largest and highest-level international multi-sport event for non-Olympic disciplines, held every four years. Cheerleading was included as an official discipline in the World Games for the first time, featuring only one gold medal awarded in the Pom Doubles category. A total of 11 teams from 10 countries and regions participated in the competition.
