On September 22, Mr. Trần Chủng, Senior Advisor of Vietnam's DEOCA Group, and Mr. Nguyễn Quang Huy, General Manager, led a delegation on a visit to Hohai University. They were accompanied by Mr. Dong Xuewu, Vice President of China Design Group Co., Ltd., and his delegation. Vice President Wu Feng of Hohai University met with the delegation. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on topics such as cooperative education, talent training, and scientific research collaboration in the fields of transportation infrastructure and water conservancy project development.

Wu Feng emphasized that since the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative, the university has established long-term strategic partnerships with several Vietnamese universities and research institutions, including Thuyloi University, Southern Institute of Water Resources Research, and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, and has participated in numerous engineering projects in Vietnam. Moving forward, he expressed the hope to further deepen cooperation in areas such as civil engineering, water conservancy, and offshore engineering, and to contribute Hohai's expertise in jointly establishing overseas education centers, developing customized corporate training programs, and participating in the design and operation and maintenance of major infrastructure projects in Vietnam.

Trần Chủng stated that Vietnam is entering a new stage of development, with many major projects facing technical challenges and a pressing need to draw on China's advanced experience. He expressed the hope to leverage the university's technical expertise and talent pool to enhance DEOCA Group's engineering capabilities through specific collaborative projects, jointly advancing green and sustainable development.

Nguyễn Quang Huy proposed collaborating with Hohai University and China Design Group Co., Ltd. to establish an educational facility in Vietnam. By utilizing Hohai University's faculty and scientific research resources, the initiative would aim to provide technical talent training in areas such as highways, tunnels, and intelligent water dispatch.

Dong Xuewu noted that Hohai University's research strengths in geotechnical engineering and smart water conservancy highly align with DEOCA Group's strategic needs in advancing intelligent transportation and digital transformation, presenting promising prospects for tripartite cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation toured the Niushoushan Science and Technology Park of Hohai University.

Heads of relevant departments and colleges of the university attended the meeting.
