On April 16, Nguyen Van Hung, President of the University of Transport and Communications (UTC), led a delegation to visit Hohai University (HHU). HHU President Zheng Jinhai and HHU Vice President Wu Feng attended the symposium. Mr. Wu Feng presided over the symposium.

Zheng Jinhai emphasized that HHU and UTC share highly compatible strengths in key disciplines and possess a solid foundation for cooperation. Previously, the two universities jointly organized the Workshop of the Leadership Training Program for Lancang-Mekong Young Professionals in Water Sciences and shared water transport engineering standards and full-English teaching resources, achieving remarkable results in their collaboration. He expressed hope that the signing of this cooperation agreement would serve as an opportunity to deepen collaboration in areas such as establishing a new energy joint training and research center, implementing joint student cultivation programs, conducting collaborative scientific research and project cooperation, and jointly building the Alliance of Universities in Lancang-Mekong Countries, thereby advancing China-Vietnam university cooperation.

Nguyen Van Hung stated that this visit marks a significant milestone in the cooperation between HHU and UTC. He expressed the hope to take this as a starting point to focus on talent cultivation and scientific research collaboration in the fields of engineering, technology, and new energy, deepen mutual faculty lecture exchanges, continuously expand the breadth and depth of cooperation, and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

Duing the symposium, Zheng Jinhai and Nguyen Van Hung jointly signed the "Cooperation Agreement between HHU and UTC on Jointly Establishing a New Energy Joint Training and Research Center".
After the symposium, Wu Feng accompanied the delegation on a visit to the Changzhou campus and the scientific platform for hydropower-wind-photovoltaic-storage multi-energy complementarity and grid-connected operation.

Heads of relevant colleges and functional departments participated in the visit.
